Virtual Futures presents Jaan Tallinn (Founding Engineer of Skype & Kazaa) for an intimate disucssion on artificial intelligence, existential risk and the intelligence explosion.
As a keen promoter of the study of existential risk Tallinn co-founded the Cambridge Centre for the Study of Existential Risk- a research centre at the University of Cambridge investigating the risks and opportunities of future technologies. In 2014 he co-founded Future of Life Institute that works to mitigate existential risks facing humanity, particularly existential risk from advanced artificial intelligence.
He is a partner in a seed-stage venture firm called Ambient Sound Investments and co-founder and chairman of MetaMed Research – a startup intent on revolutionising healthcare.

5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.

7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
