In celebration of the Marylebone Food Festival, we will host a countrywide Spanish wine tasting hosted by Matt for Indigo Wine importers.

Indigo is best known for working with producers in lesser-known regions, who work with indigenous grapes. More often than not these wines come from growers who are focusing predominantly on their vineyards, to produce healthy fruit often farmed organically or biodynamically.

The tasting will be of wines from all over Spain showing the breadth of amazing grapes and what top producers can create with them. The ticket includes the tasting of 6 wines, as well as cheese and charcuterie board for nibbles.

Felt treated like 2nd class citizen for not being in main restaurant selecting form the full price menu. We did not feel welcomed and ushered outside to the rear of the restaurant where no seats or tables or pedestals were set up to put your glass or plate on. For the 'deal' we had, the wine was served in a small plastic glass and the tapas like items for us were both served to my partner on her plate whilst I waited for mine only to be told this. For the two vouchers I submitted for some rib eye turned out to be a small sliver served to my partner who consumed it thinking it was part of her 'package'. All in all it felt rushed and a bit of a side show for the restaurant manager(s). We duly departed and had a lovely Sunday roast at a nearby pub. Will not be returning to The Lurra anytime soon.
