Let’s face it, we Brits don’t need much of an excuse to fire up a barbecue, and as the summer months are here, we can be sure a smoky smell will be filling the air. BBQs are an opportunity to show off your culinary and grilling prowess, but let’s face it, what drinks you’re serving is just as important. Why waste all that effort serving up a delicious delight if your wine isn’t going to compliment it.
In this £10 masterclass, our wine experts will take you through four wines that pair perfectly with some summer grilling so that you can wow your guests with more than just your cooking skills.
Hellental Kellerei Hallodri Gruner Veltliner: Hellenthal Kellerei is owned by two friends from two different walks of life. Manfred is one of the most renowned and successful winemakers in the Weinviertel region, whereas Walther, gave up his financial job in the city to manage the family estate's finances. This Grüner, is an incredibly partnered wine that is the physical embodiment of Hellenthal Kellerei itself. A versatile, adaptable, and perfectly balanced mouthful. Tell us that doesn’t cuvée your enthusiasm!
Dominio de Punctum Lagasca Viognier: In 1965 Viognier was almost extinct. Now its popularity is booming and it isn't hard to see why with mandarin, apricot and honeysuckle infused delights like this out there. It’s organic, biodynamic, punchy, floral and every bit delicious – especially in the warm summer sunshine.
Domaine Terres Georges Quintessence: Black pepper, blackberry & silky tannins. A bombardment of the senses. Fermented and aged for 8-10 months in large format seasoned French oak, this wine is bottled without fining or filtration, so expect oodles of purity and a small, but harmless, sediment.
Origini Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC: This spicy bramble fruit bomb can be found accompanying charming Italians as they mangia on a wood fired Margherita in their local piazza. But there’s no need to travel to experience it, it goes down just as well on those summer nights while dining al fresco.

No matter your wine knowledge, our tasting sessions are always fun and inclusive, packed with stories straight from the vineyard as we import our sustainable, organic, natural & biodynamic wines direct from the winemaker (no middle man!). We’ll teach you the basics of wine tasting, of different wine styles and varieties from around the world.

1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight (WFL Media Ltd) and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
12. The event listed on the purchased ticket is strictly for ticket holders who are over 18 years of age. Identification may be required.
