Porridge & Knowledge Season Ticket 2017

Nestled in a quiet enclave in the heart of East London, Porridge & Knowledge is the Saturday morning Campfire Club that brings inspiring speakers and spirited musicians to your breakfast table.

Porridge & Knowledge offers a social environment for the local community, a place where old and young can congregate, learn, and breakfast side-by-side. Twice a month we’ll be joined by a host of world-shaping guests, ready to share their tales of ancient journeys, musical crusades, and groups and individuals that fearlessly chose to paddle against the flow.

With hungry minds and hungry ears come hungry bellies, so our Nest Collective team will be on hand to fuel your experience, dishing up a bottomless pot of exciting oaty inventions. With a smorgasbord of savoury and sweet toppings available, Porridge & Knowledge is the perfect way to shake off the week’s stresses. As if that’s not enough to kick-start your Saturday, we’ll also be laying on unlimited coffees and teas to boot. ‘Cause we’re nice like that.

Porridge & Knowledge kicks off on Saturday 7th October, and will continue into the autumn. Join us for family-friendly mornings packed with stories, ideas, and songs: a place for locals to gather, relax, and discover.

**As a season ticket holder you will have priority standing on the Porridge & Knowledge guest list each week for the whole series.

You will not be required to bring a ticket but ID will be required to gain entry. This season pass includes the following dates: Oct 7th, 0ct 21st, Nov 4th, Nov 18th, and Dec 2nd.

The Nest Collective
The Nest Collective, BBC Folk Club of 2010, is an acoustic folk club pushing the musical boundaries within the promotion of folk, world and traditional music. Formed in 2006 by Mercury nominated singer Sam Lee, it hosts a multitude of show types hosting emerging and established artists alike. Our concerts navigate our diverse listenership towards music that both pushes boundaries alongside music that has resisted change staying true to an ancient way. The Nest prides itself on bringing together these ‘from the source’ inspired artists, as well as radically minded British and worldwide creatives, to meet audiences thirsting for the rare and rooted, and a music industry keen to see what’s next to come or simply ‘hasn’t disappeared’ The last 10 years have seen an incredible tidal change in appreciation of Folk Music as an art form now accepted on the cultural main stage. The Nest Collective (formally the Magpie’s Nest) from very humble beginnings has charted this resurgence in a unique way seeking the unusual, the overlooked and often the very best in New Folk, Old Folk and No Folk.
