Shake, Rattle and Roasted - Singles Virtual Murder Mystery Dating Event (28 - 40 Years)

Dating in London is hard at the best of times - but now with the pandemic - it is now the virtual speed date and that's pretty much it! But here at Play Dead London, we want to play matchmaker! Well at least match-opportunists! We are putting on our best outfits and becoming Play DATE London for the night! 

Who is this event for? Anyone who is SINGLE and LOOKING FOR SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT. Why not solve a murder, whilst meeting new people! 

Here's the deal - Welcome to Magnolia High School, it's 1958 and the kids at the school have just been at their Junior Prom. The night has not ended the way they wanted, Gloria Summers, Prom Queen and all-American golden girl of Magnolia High has been found electrocuted at the county fair in the dead of night. Only 4 kids saw what happened.....and we need YOU DETECTIVES to SOLVE THE CASE.

How does the even work? How can you mix murder mystery AND dating? Great question! All our singles will start together where you will be met by Sheriff Slaughter who will introduce the mystery to you, show you some evidence, that sort of thing. We recommend a paper and pen....to make notes.....as it's virtual, alas there will be no swapping of phone numbers like the good old days (but maybe virtually later!). Once you have been introduced to the suspects - you will be put into breakout rooms to have a chat to fellow detectives and then have a chance to interrogate the suspects live in your rooms. There will be time to get to know everyone in your breakout room and show your detecting prowess! The breakout rooms sessions will happen throughout the investigation and every time we will mix up the groups - you will never be with the same group of people twice - so get ready to mingle with all your fellow detectives. At the end of the night - we will open the chat and the breakout rooms and leave you to it to continue the mingling at your own leisure!

Wait, it's 50s - can I dress up? Er.....one word.....YES! We would love to see you all in 50s glam - but this is entirely optional! 

If I find someone that I like - how can I let them know? Or have some time to chat to them privately? Towards the end of the event we will "mobilise" the chat facility for you to message people and after the show we will open a series of breakout rooms so if you would like to get to know someone better send them a message and if the feeling is mutual go and have a chat! 

I really liked someone at the event and I wasn't able to give him/her my details - could I contact them? We are happy to play cupid for you - and send your details on to them, then it's up to them if they contact you. We would never share other peoples details with you, if you gave us permission to pass your details on to them, then we are happy to oblige!! 

Can I come with a friend for support? Of course! A couple of single guys and gals is always good! But we do ask that it is only ONE PERSON, PER DEVICE. If you let us know who you have come with we are happy to put to together for the first round if you would REALLY like, but trust us - it is much more fun meeting NEW people! If you get our meaning!
