One of the most experienced and respected improv teams in the UK, The Maydays are 13 years old this year. They have played across the UK, Europe and the world, and this June they are bringing their signature brand of freewheeling black comedy and character-driven surrealism to The Nursery Theatre. Improv legend Scott Adsit has been acting and teaching for many years. He was a resident member of Second City’s Mainstage and ETC companies and won Chicago’s Joseph Jefferson Best Actor Award for his work there. He still improvises constantly at the Upright Citizens Brigade in Manhattan while performing and teaching around the world. Scott has also appeared in many television shows, most notably playing producer Pete Hornberger on NBC’s Emmy Award-winning 30 Rock. Currently, he is appearing on HBO’s Veep. He also played Baymax in Disney’s Academy Award winning Best Animated Feature, Big Hero 6.
Swipe Right play the relationships you want to see, and the relationships you don’t. Inspired by randomly chosen music, they always have an eye on the joyful, skipping from the realistic to the surreal.
Me Plus One – Improv With Two People is a two-time Edinburgh Fringe hit show which sees Edinburgh-based improviser Mark Craig (TBC Improv) joined by a different special guest improviser each performance to create an entirely new and unique two-person comedy show based off one word from our audience. There’s no rehearsal time, no format for the show and no safety net – just two performers figuring out how to work together in real time.

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
