Mother's Comedy Ball is a new monthly comedy night bringing you the funniest and most diverse of London's up and coming comedians.
We are passionate to bring you the best of all London's rising stars, including the talents of women, LGBTQIA, POC, people with disabilities and neurodiverse communities.
This month’s line up includes:
Estefania Baha: Estefania is a Panamanian comedian and writer from Miami with a mild case of vocal fry. She does standup around Miami and London and currently hosts true-crime podcast Deathbed Confessions, which famously beat Joe Rogan's #1 spot.
Caroline Madison: Caroline Madds is an up and coming comedian from Lincolnshire. Her observational wit and hilarious anecdotes landed her in the finals of this year’s So You Think You‘re Funny? competition. Her comedy writing has been featured on both BBC NewsJack and BBC Upload Festival.
Laura Thomas: Laura, a Bracknell based comedian and previously co-host of: Illicit Chat's Podcast and currently the co-founder of Sex Standing Up comedy as featured in the Metro and Timeout's Top Ten Things to Do). Laura like to bare all in her unlawful performance, happily discussing all things taboo, infrequent and mildly uncomfortable and that's just her last bowel movement. In a world full of shame and judgement Laura delivers jokes in a dark, unhinged yet adorable package, which makes her messy, refreshing and (she hope's) lovable.
Sean Bless: Sean Bless is one of the UK’s top professional entertainers, specialising in both comedy and magic. He has appeared at London’s Comedy Store as well as Amazon Prime’s Magic: Caught on Camera. Come and experience Sean’s unique brand of entertainment now!
Colleen Cheetham-Gerrard: Despite the name, is not a Daily Telegraph columnist. Instead, she's a stand-up comedian, professional speaker and geek based in London, in exile from her beloved north-west England. Colleen is also a co-host on the Standard Issue podcast spin-off 'Strong Female Leads'.
"... seemingly inept yet extremely confident and witty northern comedian." (Richard Gill)
"Colleen is a bright and self-deprecating joke machine with sharp observations and an open spirit. Highly recommended." (Alfie Noakes)
Mark Bittlestone: Mark is a 28 year old gayyyyyyy standup and sketch comedian from south London. When he isn’t making TikToks about how hilarious and crap it is to be queer, he is to be found promoting conversion therapy live on-stage in London’s standup comedy clubs and as the better, gayer half of sketch duo Mark & Haydn. Follow him @poofsrus (it’s a pun on Toys “R” Us and as such it’s really, really funny) on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter or find him offering to sell his underwear for money on Grindr. Winner Up the Creek’s Blackout 2020 Leicester Square Theatre SketchOff Finalist 2019 & 2020Runner-Up Max Turner Prize 2018
Mark Nicholas: Mark is an Autistic Man who struggles with Eye Contact and Large Social Situations. So Stand Up Comedy is the perfect career change for him.
