Step into the debaucherous world of the 1930’s in a secret E2 location, hot jazz, top jazz dancers, chilled cocktails and wild animals rein free in Ol'Hackney. A speakeasy containing the most bizarre and talented guests London has to offer, an asylum for the ghouls of the night.
Join us as a host of London’s top Dj's spin swing music to keep your night fresh and feet happy. Dancers and civilians, Balboa shufflers, Lindy Hoppers, Break awayers, Waltzing addicts, and foxtrotting punks welcome to the party. Dress up, grab a drink, bring a friend and hang out in London's best jazz party!

What to expect: Music, Booze and your friends. This is a vintage house party in a beautiful venue, not a regular swing dance social in a studio. The records will skip, the floor will be filled, the bar will be busy, music will be fast and it will be hot. This party isn't about just dancing, this is about being with your friends while listening to good tunes and moving your body to all types of vintage music till 5am. Dress up, relax, grab a G&T and have a chat with your swing dance friends...when the song is hot, jump in the swing-dance-mosh-pit, go should to shoulder with your siblings in rhythm.

For those who dance late into the night...
The Vintage Arts Asylum is a collective of swing-era hedonists, preserving the grit, authenticity and spirit of vintage dance and music.
We teach classes in Lindy Hop, Balboa, Burlesque, Collegiate Shag, Chorus-line, Tap, and many more.. Additionally, we throw killer vintage parties and cabarets for dancers and non-dancers alike - we are purveyors of London’s finest vintage DJ’s, performers and live jazz musicians, not to mention the cocktails.
We are looking for the passionate, the hard-dancers, scene heretics, the drinkers and the mentalists of rhythm.
We offer drop in beginner swing lessons, courses in different styles of swing and often throw parties where everyone is invited.

T&Cs
1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight (WFL Media Ltd) and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
12. The event listed on the purchased ticket is strictly for ticket holders who are over 18 years of age. Identification may be required.
13. By purchasing this ticket, I grant The Vintage Arts Asylum, its representatives and employees the right to take photographs & Video of me and my property in connection with the above-identified subject/event. I authorize The Vintage Arts Asylum, its assigns and transferees to copyright, use and publish the same in print and/or electronically.
