The third workshop in our Meet the Maker series is hosted by Fairbairn and Wolf Studio who create original hand drawn print designs for global fashion and interior brands. It will run from 6:30-9:30pm.
The session will provide a unique opportunity to experiment with acid dyes and painting directly onto the screen giving the final print a ‘watercolour’ quality. After an introduction into FWS and their practice you’ll be shown a variety of mono printing and painting techniques taking inspiration from a rich selection of flowers and plant forms.
You’ll then hand paint your mixed dyes onto silhouettes of flowers and foliage exposed onto a screen and print the finished painting directly onto your silk scarf. The final part of the process is steaming and washing out your fabric so that it’s ready to be worn.
About FWS
Fairbairn and Wolf Studio is a London/ Shanghai based textile design brand. Their work has been sold to some of the most recognisable brands in the world including & Other Stories, Topshop, DKNY and Adidas.
All their artwork is hand drawn or painted before being converted to digital ready for mass production. They also specialise in traditional screen printing techniques producing colour discharge and hand painted samples as well as developing specific trend and colour experiments.

If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
