Open your mind and learn the secrets of alternative medicine when it comes to the menstrual cycle. Liv Inge will explain how to balance hormones naturally and regulate your flow. Apparently a joyful period IS possible!
At some point in most women’s lives, menstruation has been a blight on their lunar calendar. Irregular, painful, mood swings, night sweats…these are some of the clues that something is amiss but all to often we grin and bear it, thinking it’s just part and parcel of being a superhero (aka: woman!).
If you are thinking about fertility, coming off the pill or wanting a more regular period, come and hear Liv unravel some of the secrets of Chinese medicine’s take on the menstrual cycle.
Liv will be discussing how periods have the potential to be an enhancement rather than an affliction, how bringing balance to your hormones through acupuncture breeds a healthy, regular cycle and enables you to go with the flow.
Liv Inge – Bio
Following a successful fifteen years on the catwalk, Liv swapped knee-highs for needles and forged a new career as a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. She holds a BSc (Hons) at the prestigious College of Integrated Chinese Medicine.
Liv uses this ancient medical theory to activate a number of different internal healing mechanisms for the promotion of homeostasis and balance. Spanning all ages, Liv’s patients have sought her out for a wide range of ailments including asthma, insomnia, infertility, migraines, musculoskeletal pain, stress and even jetlag.
Her success is measured by the positive results she sees in her clinic.
She says, “Acupuncture has been the mainstay of medicine in China for thousands of years. It’s holistic, therefore a symptom only has meaning when taken in the context of the whole - that’s what makes it individual and efficient.”
