Introduction to The Wheel of Consent:1-Day Workshop

When you touch your partner or other friend, are you giving or receiving?

Is there a difference?

What happens when you know for sure?

When they touch you, is it for you, or for them?

Can you tell?

Does it matter?

What happens when you take 'Giving' and 'Receiving' apart, so you feel them one at a time?

For one thing, you find out what they are. You find out how they feed you, how they challenge you, and how they wake you up. They challenge who you think you are as a lover and, quite possibly, as a person.

Receiving and Giving - clear, un-mixed and genuine: few things are more challenging, more liberating - and more fun.

This workshop takes you there :

THIS WORKSHOP:

~ is clothed.

~ is experiential - you will have the opportunity to practice and explore. It is only in the experience of it that it begins to make sense.

~ respects your boundaries - you never have to touch or be touched by anyone you don't want to. In fact, we'll be showing you how to be more clear about that for yourself.

~ lets you start right where you are. New to the idea or wildly experienced, doesn't matter.

~ gives you a game to take home that makes the whole thing easy, fun, sensual, playful, and, if you like, sexy.

~ teaches you the 4 Quadrants - how to create them, find them, feel them, and a glimpse into where they can take you.

IT'S FOR PEOPLE WHO:

~ are seeking the next level of ease, confidence and joy

~ love and care for each other, but can't quite find the key to loving your love life

~ know there is something more meaningful in sex, but have no idea where to start looking for it

~ are not comfortable 'receiving' and don't know why or what to do about it

~ want to have more fun!

This workshop is clothed.

There will be options to exchange touch,but it is never required.

You are quite welcome to watch the entire time.

Please note there will be one 30 minute break during the morning, a 1-hour break for lunch, and another 30 monite break in the afternoon.

About the facilitators:

Yal Eyal Shaffir

Yal is a highly experienced facilitator, educator, events host, and sex and intimacy coach.

With abackground as an academic lecturer for over 20 years, Yal has been working in the sexual wellness and practice-based adult sex education for close to a decade. Over the years he has earned high praise for guiding hundreds of people on deep personal journeys to tune into their sensual and sexual selves.

Following his own Adult Sexual Trauma in an unexpected late stage in life, Yal has turned to The Wheel of Consent and the physical practices developed by Dr Betty Martin to help him rewire his own sexual disembodiment into grounded and present sensation and pleasure.

Yal is a great believer in the power this work has to help support people into a better relationship with themselves, with others, and with joy. He is currently in training to become a Certified Wheel of Consent Facilitator.

Lirona Rosenthal is a very experienced clinical psychologist, working with a diverse range of people over the years. She has studied The Wheel of Consent and incorporates the framework in her clinical work.
