If you have always wanted to try ballet, but never got round to it, now is your time! Join this class for an evening of inspiring movement and work towards learning a famous variation. Left, right and centre, we are bombarded with the idea that dance is something that we have to start young. This couldn’t be further from the truth! Dancing is something that is natural to each and every one of us. It is healing, rejuvenating and invigorating, so give it a go!

These classes aim to help those completely new to ballet to understand more about the art form, how dance can be used in storytelling and how to convey our emotions and narratives through our bodies. The classes focus on one variation every four weeks, giving students the time to develop skill, technique and artistry. Unlike most dance classes, it aims to develop individual expression and help people to enjoy dancing, as opposed to just mastering it!

If you have always wanted to learn some of repertoire, at a level suited to your own needs, now is your chance.

18th Nov , 25th Nov, 02nd Dec, 09th Dec: During these classes you will learn the iconic Odette Variation from Swan Lake. The variation will be taught over the course of 4 weeks, however, you are welcome to join a single session as a drop in if you prefer.

13th Jan, 20th Jan, 27th Jan and 03rd Feb: Learn the Lilac Fairy variation from Sleeping Beauty

10th Feb, 17th Feb, 24th Feb and 03rd March: Learn the Queen of Dryads from Don Quixote

24th Mar, 31st Mar, 07th Apr and 14th Apr - Paquita, 4th variation

Details of variations to be taught from mid April on wards will be added shortly!

Hope to see you there!
