NovembHER : a Gender Journey : Fox&Badge invite you to explore the various permutations of gender in a gorgeous night of incredible music, performances and people.
For 12 years November has been co-opted by the Movember Foundation to raise awareness of male prostate cancer. We propose a momentary nocturnal detour back into the feminine HERness of Novembherness, celebrating the divine feminine and all things between; all things explorative; a journey into gender - within and beyond. We all play roles; we all act and mimic, conceal and reveal.
Each of us projects a mixture of genders - our own mix of stereotypes and individuality, constantly evolving. Tonight’s your night to try something new; lose you; find you. To add Y to your X and X to your Y; to don ‘taches and lashes, shirts & skirts, heels & helmets, feathers & fedoras.
Preen your boiling masculinity; stage your inner goddess.
Burst your bust ; thrust your bits; stuff your top; body-swap.
Even come genderblank or genderfree if you want; just come.
We have our first ever all-female lineup - an incredible roster of 6 wonderful DJs playing a range of ecstatic music. Our exceptional headliner, Just Her, will be accompanied by brilliant DJs Dani, Bahar Canca (playing a rare vinyl techno set), Ebru Al, Chloe (& her partner Paulo from His Hers) - & here’s introducing the wonderful DJ Papadeerkis!
We’ll have a wonderful troupe of performers and drag artists, aerialists, domme femmes, leashed slaves and all kinds of treats in a gorgeous Shoreditch venue with the usual brilliant, well-dressed, warm, fun and intelligent crowd ( that’s you ;) ), & an after-party at ours round the corner for our evening’s guests.
Dress Code : gender-bending, boundary-crossing, extreme.
Daring is caring. Be inventive, and beautiful. Collective elegance demands it.
Good drag, not bad drab. Exquisite maquillage; extravagant headresses; extraordinary unordinaryness.
Gender fluid, gender binary, genderfuck; femme fatales and hommes noirs; the divine feminine and sacred masculine; F2M or M2F; gods & goddesses, deities and deviants; trans and tri and trannies; musclemen and hairy women; drag queens and faux kings; Rockabilly and Roaring ‘20’s; tramps and vamps; sub or sissy; dandy or doll; Annie or Androgyny; Bowery or Perry; Bowie or Butler; Dita or Dietrich; Gaga or Grace; Hideyoshi or Futanari Hentai; Larry or Lana; Camen Carrera or Spikey can Dikey; Eddie Izzard or Elvis Herselvis; Ru Paul or Chi Chi LaRue; just come as new you.
No, it’s not a sex or fetish or bondage or drag party; it’s what you make it and want it to be; a night of stunning music and acts - with the best peeps in town.
