Swedish Midsummer, the best day of the year!
Midsummer is regarded as the most important event in the Scandi calendar. Traditionally it commemorates the longest day of the year and, for many Swedes, it signals the start of their five (yes, five) week holiday. Midsummer Eve, which always takes place on a Friday at the end of June, sees thousands of people flock to the countryside with friends and family in tow, leaving the cities eerily deserted. BUT for Britain’s Nordic community we are celebrating on Saturday 22nd June and those who enjoy the Scandi lifestyle, there’s plenty of opportunities to join in the summer celebrations without having to leave the country. The popular gatherings in Hyde Park (entry Marble Arch) that started off in 2011, is still an unofficial gathering but a super fun one! We have organized two events around the park, one during lunchtime before the park and one in the evening: the after party!
Enjoy a traditional Swedish Midsummer Brunch with free flow of bubbles for 2 hours and snaps. During the lunch, there will be music, special performances, games and surprises before we're heading to the park to join fellow Swedes and friends. We will also organise a raffle leaving guests with £2000 worth of prizes. LAST FEW TICKETS LEFT! Deadline for dietary requirements: Wednesday 6 pm!
If you want to continue the celebrations in the evening, our event is going strong until 1:30 am with drinks, smaller food, DJ’s and other entertainment at Midsummer Night. Meet our make up girls, join our photo booth room or chill in Åhus Akvavit's lounge with hay bales and a snaps bar! Our evening guests can enjoy refreshing drinks and late night dancing while looking at breathtaking panoramic views of London from the 30th floor! This will be a night to remember! We have our sponsors Haypp on site with some fun happenings!

Some common questions:
Is this event taking place in a park (rumoured Hyde Park)?
No, our events are at a beautiful venue inside. A safe card if it's a rainy day :) There will be time for all of us to join the park gatherings in between the brunch and the evening event. The park gatherings is NOT an organised event, just a big Midsummer picnic that spread through word of mouth since 2011 and has since gathered thousands of Swedes in Hyde Park (to the right of the entry from Marble Arch). You won't miss the crowd! This often goes on from midday to early evening, when people are joining our event in the evening.
Can we make flower crowns?
We will buy all the tools to make flower crowns for the brunch event. You need to bring your own flowers though :)
Are there any vegetarian options?
Yes, we will have options for vegetarians or vegans. Email louise@londonsvenskar.com
We are a big group of people coming to the brunch, can we sit together?
We are doing our best to make sure all big groups can sit together. A Swedish party is known for being served on long tables and where you sit down where you can. Send our event manager the size of your group and we'll reserve your seats. louise@londonsvenskar.com
Can we bring kids?
No, unfortunately not. However, if you want to bring kids the gatherings in Hyde Park is open for all.

Midsummer Night
When sun sets and it's getting chilly we are moving back up to the most stunning venue in town. 30 floors up and with amazing views we will continue the night until "småtimmarna", meaning late in Swedish.
Expect music, DJ's, entertainment and surprises. This event sells out quickly and is very popular on the day. Make sure to get your ticket in time to avoid disappointment.
Tickets include: Entry and complimentary drinks by ABSOLUT if you enter between 7pm - 8pm!

The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight (WFL Media Ltd) and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
