Why do some adaptations captivate audiences while others fall flat? Join producer Luke Walton for a practical masterclass exploring how to uncover the cinematic heart of an existing story and bring it to the screen with originality and emotional impact. Discover the key insights to adapting existing material, crafting a fresh interpretation, and creating films that honour the original while standing confidently on their own. Attendees will also hear about five paid writing commissions currently seeking writers.
Join Luke Walton, Director of The Pitch Film Fund and its production arm, Reel Issues Films.
Whether you’re a writer, filmmaker, producer, or storyteller, this session will open up new ways of thinking about adaptation — exploring how stories can evolve, take on new life, and find fresh meaning as they journey from page to screen.
