Recreating Tehran's classic hole in the wall kebab houses.
Named after the brightly coloured Iranian rice snack, Berenjak is inspired by founder and chef Kian Samyani's Iranian heritage. With experience cooking in the kitchens of Gymkhana and Brigadiers, as well as, support from Jyo, Karam and Sunaina Sethi of JKS restaurants, Kian brings a carefully curated menu to the heart of Soho.
There is an open plan kitchen, where you can watch your food being prepared on traditional Irani equipment; from the flaming tanoor to a mangal barbecue and doner rotisserie. Interiors feature exposed brick walls and communal tables which contrast with luxurious stained glass windows, rich Persian carpets and marble tabletops.
Reinterpreting flavours from his childhood, Kian's menu focusses on dishes made for sharing; with small plates like traditional kebabs grilled on a fiery charcoal mangal and served on freshly baked bread. There's even Persian-style stews and pheasant and spiced partridge come game season.
