What they say:

Having excelled with the Covent Garden based Spanish restaurant Barrafina, the Hart Brothers now look to overcome the challenge of London's well-established Mexican culinary scene. El Pastor revolves around all things Taco; alongside a variety of fish, meat and vegetable dishes, the signature Al Pastor taco pack a culinary punch, composed of pork marinated in dried chillies, spices, achiote and orange juice. And of course, to quench all your concerns, the bartenders offer their guests an array of Mexican beers and a selection of Mezcal and Tequila-infused cocktails.

What we say:

Much like Barrafina, El Pasto showcases some of Mexico's more complex flavour combinations. The team have bagfuls of experience, and as such offer a carefully crafted menu of exquisite drinks. But this spot's success will be determined by its food, specifically the ingredients and cooking techniques. Crucially, their upright 'trompo' grill is great for delicately cooking succulent cuts of meat and fish; the core ingredients of their selection of palatable tacos and tostadas. Capturing the authentic experience that previously ran down the backbone of their other venutre, El Pastor is certainly on its way up London's competitive culinary ladder.
