The Drop – Coal Drops Yard

Description

The masterminds behind the popular Barrafina Spanish restaurant in Covent Garden have taken on a different challenge with their London Bridge restaurant El Pastor. Focussing primarily on Mexico's culinary heritage, guests can enjoy a selection of different taco and quesadilla dishes here.

The venue has purposely been kept bare, to bring out the natural character of the space. The entire restaurant is dimly lit and framed by exposed brick walls, while the grey-scale tables and simple stool seating provides the venue with a sleek finish.

The team of chefs use only the freshest ingredients that they can get their hands on. Guests will find plenty of variety in their meat, fish and vegetable-based dishes. Particular attention must be placed on their wonderful Al Pastor creation, a taco filled with pork that's been marinated in a mixture of dried chillies, spices, achiote and orange juice. The dining experience is nicely completed by the venue's bar menu, stocked full of mezcal, tequila, sangria and a range of Mexican beers.
