Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the one and only Liam Noble to the stage! We will be playing from a variety of songbooks, including Aphex Twin and Radiohead, along with some original material.

After studying music at the University of Oxford and the postgraduate course at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Noble became the regular pianist with Stan Sulzmann (in both duo and quartet settings) on John Taylor’s recommendation. He went on to work in the bands of Anita Wardell, Harry Beckett, Tim Whitehead and John Stevens as well as recording and touring with cult minimalist composer Moondog. During this period, he also performed with John Taylor (as part of Stan Sulzmann’s two-piano quintet), Kenny Wheeler and Lol Coxhill.
Tom Pountney is a musician and artist based in London. Following an undergrad in jazz at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Tom’s current musical interests span contemporary classical music, grungy free improvisation, and textural electronic psychedelia. When taking himself less seriously, Tom enjoys Radiohead and Twin Peaks.
Tom Bevan is a drummer and composer with a large variety of influences and experiences. Having moved to Senegal at the age of 9, he found himself at home in the local music community. He went on to work with Tim Berne, Soweto Kinch and Arnie Somogyi, and has studied with Jeff Williams, John O’Gallagher, and Clark Tracey. His music is innovative while standing deeply rooted in the Jazz tradition and that of all the music he has picked up during his travels.
