“Nothing can be changed until we face it” – Author and activist James Baldwin

In line with Black History Month this October, and with the climate we are still finding ourselves in, it’s important for people to have open conversations regarding Anti Racism and race-related issues. If we do this, we can all move towards removing the “uncomfortable” label that can sometimes be attached to these discussions.

Join us on this FREE Zoom Panel Event

We’re so proud to have hosted such a constructive, interesting, and brilliant panel a couple of months ago, we’re doing it again. This time, part 2 of the discussion, we are discussing the relationships between the Police, Justice System and the Black Community.

We are encouraging our Kindred community to feel comfortable in productively discussing topics surrounding racism and the black lives matter movement, within your work teams and homes. Sharing experiences, thoughts, educational resources, optimisms and, possibly, reservations can only help us all move towards progression. We’re in this together.

To push your conversations to continue, we are holding an online discussion with a panel of speakers, to facilitate an understanding of systematic problems and understanding of human behaviours behind them, provide answers to questions and suggest educational resources we can look into to see what we can learn to make long-lasting positive changes in society.

Join us on this FREE Zoom Panel Event

We’d love for you all to attend and get involved! This is going to be a great informative discussion so please join, watch, listen, take an interest, and feel free to interact if you’re comfortable.

Although we have put a panel of speakers in place, if you are passionate to speak and share your thoughts on anti-racism and black lives matter and/or would like a specific question asked and answered, please get in touch and let us know, you can email rachel@wearekindred.com.

It was a brilliant night out; Kindred is such a beautiful, intimate space for a comedy show. The staff are warm, the artists were brilliant and the DJ was great. I loved how as host, Travis engaged with the audience in such a friendly way - there is always a worry being sat that close to the stage when comedians are on, but he was funny and engaging with the right amount of banter, keeping us all bubbling for the featured acts, without stealing the show - a great balance. KG stole the show for me - naturally hilarious and confident, with real, relatable stories! Loved Michael’s set too. I came alone and felt right at home. Congrats to everyone who made it happen, it was a fantastic night out! I’ll be back (if I’m in the country). Bless!
