Rovi

Description

The third restaurant brand from prolific restaurateur and chef, Yotam Ottolenghi, Rovi is one of Fitzrovia's most vegetarian-friendly dining experiences. Putting vegetables at the forefront of the menu, you'll find that most of the dishes here incorporate alternative cooking techniques such as fermentation, smoking and cooking over fire. The kitchen subsequently serves up an eclectic range of plates from hay-smoked Jersey Royal potatoes, to slow roasted cauliflower with crispy chickpeas, tahini and fermented chilli salsa. There are a small range of meat dishes as well, including some enticing onglet skewers served with fermented green chillies and beef fat mayonnaise.

Ideal for date night or special occasions, the restaurant features a dome-shaped dining area, decked out in pale oak wood and stone. There is also counter-top seating for walk-ins, looking out over Wells Street, along with a large cocktail bar area in the centre of the room, ready seat customers for drinks or dinner.

Rovi also does its bit for the environment, aiming to create as little waste as possible. Any leftover wine will be recycled into vinegar, and you'll find used coffee grounds cooked into dishes like the hasselback kaffir lime beets.
