As a pioneer on the vegetarian restaurant scene, Mildreds has gone from strength to strength since it opened in 1988. Continuing with its success, the restaurant has now opened its fourth outlet in Dalston, on the spot formerly occupied by Japanese Canteen.

The venue follows the same principles as the first three sites, with a strictly meat-free menu. Dishes are inspired by world cuisine with options such as a halloumi burger topped with chargrilled aubergine, harissa and tahini flatbread, and wood roasted mushroom and ale pie with minted mushy peas and fries. The venue also serves organic wine alongside beer, cider and classic cocktails.
