Join us as we begin our series of events with Anna Boglione, Recipes to Reconnect
Following the publication of Anna Boglione’s new book Recipes To Reconnect: food and conversations to Re-establish the relationship between Nature, food and self, Anna will be hosting a series of events called Re-connect at The Petersham in Covent Garden. Anna will invite speakers and chefs who feature in her book, as well as new guests, to discuss, divulge and dissect topics related to planetary and human health. Each event will take place around a four-course menu specially designed for the evening by an exciting and acclaimed chef. Her first event will be on gut health and the microbiome that inhabits it, with Dr Alanna Collen and Rachel De Thample.
Hippocrates, known to be the father of modern medicine, famously said 2500 years ago ‘All diseases begin in the gut’.
Anna will be in conversations with Dr Alanna Collen, author of 10% Human: How Your Body’s Microbes Hold the Key to Health and Happiness. Alanna has a PhD in evolutionary biology and is a BBC contributor and science writer who has written for the Sunday Times Magazine and the Guardian. They will dive into all things microbes, unpacking the recent science and discussing what you can do to improve your gut health. Rachel De Thample, chef and fermentation expert and author of many books, including Fermentation: River Cottage Handbook, Winter Wellness and Less Meat, More Veg, will be creating a bespoke menu in response to the topic, full of gut health goodness.

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
