The Game Bird

Description

The Stafford London Hotel's redesigned restaurant The Game Bird is a strictly British affair, with menu and ingredients all hailing from Britain in order to promote the best cuisine the country has to offer.

Inside, The Game Bird plays on its rustic appeal. The cosy interior compliments a rich menu filled with dishes that honours its namesake. The new London restaurant fits with the site's historical heritage: a refined hotel converted from a former Victorian building and carriage house.

But nestled among roast grouse and wood pigeon pot au feu are some truly British dishes, such as Clarence Court eggs and Lincolnshire smoked eels. There's also a wonderful array of sea food on the menu: from scallops fished from Orkney, to a special oyster menu sourced directly from the British isles. Fitting with the venue's traditional aesthetics, these are served on a quaint table-side trolly.
