We are delighted to announce the return of the highly anticipated “Man vs Santa” challenge! Back for its 4th year Man vs Santa will be laying down the gauntlet to the most passionate pie eaters from across the capital.
Santa may hold the record for the most mince pies eaten but as we don’t have the whole night, challengers from across London will gather at The Hand in Hand for the annual Man vs Santa, mince pie eating competition.
Entrants will fly through as many of the festive treats as possible to the eighties classic, Eye of the Tiger. There will be a £3 charity registration fee, (proceeds to this years chosen childrens charity, Momentum.) which includes a free Santa hat, mince pies galore plus a guest appearance from Santa himself! Aside from the glory, and the handing over of the ‘mince pie crown’, he who ‘reins’ champion will win a minute behind the bar to pour as much draft as they can and a festive Hamper from our friends at Sipsmith.
If the sound of mince pies doesn’t have you chomping at the bit, the Women’s Institute, will be on hand with a selection of baked goods (mince pies not included) and Christmas crafts. Mulled wine and Christmas spirit will be flowing throughout the evening with carols from local choirs and musicians to match.
