Food was exceptional. Please don't take the Salty pizza off the menu it is my favourite!!! Aggie the Restaurant Manager was an absolute superstar, she recommended a lovely bottle of wine which we were able to try first, she ensured everything was perfect for a special evening. Had the pleasure of having a company Christmas party for 50 people at The Common Old Oak. The team was fantastic in organising everything, the food was great and the setting superb. Furthermore, the staff was flexible with any requests from guests, which made the experience tailored and accommodating. Party was a blast and lasted until closing. Will definitely recommend The Common Old Oak as a venue for company parties. Well done! visited The Common Old Oak on 02 Dec 2016

Very bad service and staffing levels were inadequate. Me and my wife waited 40mins for our starters and my main course was not even put through leaving me and my wife sharing her pizza. The only way I would recommend this place to any one else or even come back would be if I got refunded for the £49.55 I spent for a rubbish evening. visited The Common Old Oak on 19 Nov 2016

Pumpkin carving and face painting was great, kids had a great time, my steak sandwich was not so good very small and steak was tough and stringy, chicken skewers not great either (sat 29th oct) enjoyed our day there and staff are lovely visited The Common Old Oak on 29 Oct 2016

Thanks for feedback. So sorry to hear your steak sandwich was not served how it usually is - it's one of our most popular dishes so I'm very sorry you experienced an exception to the rule! Also the chicken skewers are also very well regarded, so again we can only apologise for this mistake. On the positive side, we're so glad the kids enjoyed the free pumpkins and face painting, that the staff were lovely and that you enjoyed the time you spent with us. Please do come back to try our dishes again.
