The Star and Garter

For a cosy night in Soho, head to The Star and Garter on Poland Street. A favourite with post-production workers and theatrefolk, you never know who you might rub shoulders with at the bar.

On tap find Stella, Grolsch, Heineken and Kronenbourg, a basic wine list and all the regular soft drinks you'd expect. In the warmer months, drinkers spill out onto the streets to catch some air and meet new people. There's background music and a fruit machine to keep you entertained, although the other drinkers may well do that for you. It's also a great warm up  spot for a night out out Thursday through to Saturday with pre-drinks flowing here. Come for the atmosphere and warm, friendly staff.
