HOT VOX Presents:

MUDLARK // VINCENTE ALONSO

LAUREN ROSE // JOHN MOTH

Hidden above the bustle of Wardour Street, the Flamingo Room at O’Neill’s sits on truly legendary ground. Once home to the world-famous Flamingo Club and the iconic WAG Club, this building has seen everyone from The Rolling Stones, Cream, and Jimi Hendrix to David Bowie and Stevie Wonder pass through its doors.

Now HOT VOX continues that legacy, bringing the very best emerging artists to this historic Soho spot. Expect a night of fresh new music in a room steeped in history, where you can discover tomorrow’s future stars on the very same site that helped shape London’s music scene.

MUDLARK

Mudlark is a three-piece indie/alternative band formed in London by musicians from Chile, Portugal and England. Created one year ago, the project blends vibrant melodies, post-punk edges and an energetic live presence. Their multicultural influences and collaborative writing style shape a sound that feels both fresh and familiar, connecting with audiences through emotion, energy and atmosphere.

VINCENTE ALONSO

Vicente Alonso is an indie-pop and blues artist from Hertfordshire whose music blends shimmering melodies with a mysterious, soulful edge. Inspired by John Mayer, Steve Lacy, Frank Ocean, and Jimi Hendrix, he pairs smooth guitar work with a voice that carries both warmth and grit.

Having played multiple shows and festivals around Hertfordshire, Vicente has become known for performances that feel intimate, atmospheric, and slightly enigmatic — the kind that leave listeners wanting to know more.

LAUREN ROSE

Lauren Rose is an 18 year-old Singer-Songwriter from London, placing in the Top 30 songwriters in 2024 in the UK. Her recent release ‘High Maintenance’ has been performed with her extraordinary band to audiences around London, described as being inspired by the likes of ‘Lana Del Rey’ and ‘The 1975’. ‘Her vocals and performance are both captivating and amazing to watch, and one to be watched in the Future!’ (UGS)

JOHN MOTH

After bullying the band into agreeing to being called John Moth, John Moth formed in the outskirts of Essex and have been understandibly trying to excape ever since. Akwardly blending funk, jazz, and ska, the five piece claim to take inspiration from the likes of Jamiroquai, Madness, The Police, and the 3 good songs from The Beat.

Characterised by a brass section and love of dramatic pauses, John Moth brings a light hearted and enegetic approach to the music scene, sticking to their philosophy of ‘We’ll have fun even if you don’t’.

I really like O’Neill’s and I go there very often. I usually bring a group of 8 to 15 women with me, and we genuinely enjoy the place. However, our New Year’s Eve party was disappointing. The venue was extremely overcrowded. Moving around was almost impossible and we literally had to push through people. It felt uncomfortable and unsafe, especially considering this is a large venue in such a central area. There was no proper air conditioning, and in a situation like that, if someone had fainted, there would have been a real risk of people being trampled. My intention was to stay for the midnight toast, but I couldn’t handle the conditions and left at 11:40 pm. This was my first and will be my last time attending a large-scale New Year’s Eve event there. I do not recommend spending New Year’s Eve at the venue under these circumstances.
