Four stars for the food which was lovely however - the service was not fantastic. We hardly saw our waiter. We had to go to the bar for our drinks ourselves. We waited 1/2hr between dinner and ordering dessert. It was boiling hot inside with inadequate air con and no open windows and the lack of parking or even a collection point for the disabled is a real issue. visited Dial Arch on 18 Jun 2017

Been here three times in total. The first time I as not long after opening and it was ok. The second time they had mice running around the restaurant. This was a bit distressing. I complained and the manager was angry that we didn't want to pay for the starter we had just had, and the main that was due to arrive. He was very angry indeed and told we were to pay for the cokes we'd ordered. Suffice to say that I haven't been back in almost 2yrs. I returned this weekend. The place looked cleaner and the staff were friendly. We both had the roast and it was fine. The pork was fatty, and the chicken had hair on it so I didn't eat it. They're clearly doing some stuff well but need to just sort it those few things. visited Dial Arch on 18 Jun 2017

Had my daughters 8th bday celebration at dial arch. Good service and quick. Nice and relaxed so didn't feel like we had to eat and leave quickly. Would be great to have the 8pm restriction relaxed in the pantry and ante room areas but appreciate license restricts this. Will book again! visited Dial Arch on 06 Jun 2017

So very disappointed ! I had been there 3 times in the past and enjoyed so subsequently invited two friends to join me there for dinner. One of the meals was dry and inedible so we had to re-order. The meal finally arrived and as it was rather bland my friend asked for a fresh chilli. This duly arrived but when the bill was presented we were all dumbfounded to see that the 1 small chilli had incurred a charge of £1 , an insult to injury ! Needless to say , never going back . visited Dial Arch on 03 Jun 2017

Been to the Dial Arch many times, and always enjoy the food, same this time although we didn't feel the choice was good on the starters, it was very limited and no scallops! Staff friendly and efficient and the sticky toffee pud never fails to delight! (you will need to inform me if you are going to take this loveliness off the dessert menu as I think I might have a breakdown. Tracey visited Dial Arch on 27 May 2017

Not the greatest visit ever. Firstly our first choice of starter was not available. No Haloumi. We were recommended the tartare tomato. This turned out to be half a tomato baked with a half slice of sour dough toast. At £6.50 it was vastly over charged. £13 between us for a tomato and a slice of bread. Main course burgers were decent but the plate was overloaded with overdone vey crispy chips. Half the amount would suffice with perhaps a side salad. Again this was a bit expensive at the price. As the starter had been so small we decided to have dessert. We settled on Strawberry Eton Mess. This turned out to be 95% cream with very little strawberries or meringue. Adding on the lagers at £5.35 each this was absolutely not a value for money meal. Dial Arch you can and have previously done much better than this. visited Dial Arch on 28 May 2017

Met at Dial Arch to meet a friend that was visiting from New Zealand. We had drinks outside in the sun before supper. The bar staff very attentive and helpful. The waiting staff when we sat down to eat were very helpful and all in all very good service. All out meals were very good and will definitely be coming again. I chose dial arch as we regularly visit the Crown and Anchor in Dell Quay near Chichester and always have good service and great food. Keep up the good work. visited Dial Arch on 13 May 2017

Staff were attentive but so busy it became disorganised service; needed more staff for a busy venue. Food quality was average and portions very small and over priced - will think twice about going again. EG ice cream for kids at £2-50 were about the size of a large egg cup in size. Burger inserts very small considering the price, macaroni cheese dish had a bizarre taste visited Dial Arch on 01 May 2017

I've been to dial arch a few times and it has to be one of my favourite pubs and when I have visitors from overseas, I ALWAYS take them but this time reallylet me down. My father and I arrived a little early than it opened and as I was pushing my baby in the pram, one of the staff members kindly let me in and said to just take a seat. Then another staff member came flying out of nowhere and barked at us that they weren't open and try to back us out of the door. The Sunday roast has always been a highlight but this time it was cold and over cooked. During our meal, no one checked on us and when we were served our food, I felt that the staff didn't want to be there. Such a disappointment visited Dial Arch on 09 Apr 2017

Highly recommend.. we go Dialarch quite alot whether it's for a quick drink after work or for a family meal. I reserved a table for our dad's 60th in the 6 Nations area, was easy to book and they accommodated changes. Most of us had the 6 Nation Burger (lovely) and the rest the pizzas.. all went down very well. Wide variety of ales etc on the pumps, all round very happy as usual visited Dial Arch on 26 Feb 2017

bit of a mix up with the waitress after asking to move tables as the sun was right in my eyes was then told when after taking my husband to the disabled toilet that we had to vacate the table when we wanted to order dessert ' coffee also was given the bill !!!!!!! but a first class manager came to our aid nothing was to much trouble and she sorted things out. I know the dial was busy but the waitress should have told us that by moving to another table it was booked for 1.30 .she should have listened to what I said about ordering dessert and coffee . we have visted the dial many times and this is the first time there has been a problem visited Dial Arch on 26 Feb 2017

Food wasn't up to standard, - my 8month old baby is highly allergic to dogs and on a wet rainy Sunday excited to have a roast me and my family get put near dogs without knowing and it stunk of wet dog and my baby was sneeezing coughing and had a rash all over him Then realised that there was a dog in the restaurant and there policy allows dogs I think it's disgusting to have animals in a food place I think it's so in hygienic and wasn't fair my baby had to go through that visited Dial Arch on 06 Nov 2016

Well, where shall I start. Great atmosphere. I asked for the lamb - no lamb I asked for the pheasant - no pheasant Could you do the steak for the same price as the lamb - no sorry Ok I'll have the salad with the chicken- sorry no chicken Do I laugh or cry, that was the question? I had the salad with chilli beef that was actually very nice The rest of the party had beef burgers The beef burgers came out after half and hour wait having to ask if the food was ready Then 5 minutes later my salad was to follow ( did you personally have it in for me I thought?) I was offered free garlic bread - no thanks my reply Dessert Yes please I would like the creek brûlée please - no sorry we don't have that Seems to be a theme here I am personally trying to stay of wheat due to medical reasons hence my choices We did receive free desserts thank you and the poor waiter I felt for him having to say no all the time. My husband says you keep the fraught beer well. We had recommended it to friends who we had brought with us. It became quite a laughable situation really You have got a great location and pub with a captive audience But this has put us off coming back Anita visited Dial Arch on 04 Nov 2016

Booked online and received booking confirmation only to find that when I turned up they didn't have any record of the booking. Fobbed us off with some excuse about not using the online booking anymore - but then why let people book online? So we were turned away because they were full and went across the way to the Guardhouse and had a fantastic roast dinner in a lovely environment. Also, is it just me or does the Dial Arch always smell of the gent's toilets? Would not recommend. visited Dial Arch on 30 Oct 2016

Food was good, however service was not. I waited for my dish a a quarter of an hour while my friends had been served, although they couldn't start theirs in any case since the staff had forgot the cutlery and then disappeared. I had to go and complain at the bar.It turned out that - God knows why - the waiter had decided my dish would be a main course while my friends' dishes had been deemed starters (although one of them was having exactly the same as me). visited Dial Arch on 21 Oct 2016

Overall I was very disappointed, having booked the meal for a large group of people 2-3 weeks before hand for a special accation for an 18th birthday. Having arrived and settling down, one of the women who was serving serving us went through the menu and told us pretty much half the menu wasn't available including main dishes like steak, pulled pork dishes and every chicken dishes additionally, some starters where no longer an option to choose from and every time we picked what to eat it was unavailable and was very disappointing. Also the service from one of the waitresses was unaware of our concerns and wasn't sympathetic with the problem and came across very rude. Having pre booked as well way in advance was the frustrating thing!
