Food wasn't up to standard, - my 8month old baby is highly allergic to dogs and on a wet rainy Sunday excited to have a roast me and my family get put near dogs without knowing and it stunk of wet dog and my baby was sneeezing coughing and had a rash all over him Then realised that there was a dog in the restaurant and there policy allows dogs I think it's disgusting to have animals in a food place I think it's so in hygienic and wasn't fair my baby had to go through that visited Dial Arch on 06 Nov 2016

Well, where shall I start. Great atmosphere. I asked for the lamb - no lamb I asked for the pheasant - no pheasant Could you do the steak for the same price as the lamb - no sorry Ok I'll have the salad with the chicken- sorry no chicken Do I laugh or cry, that was the question? I had the salad with chilli beef that was actually very nice The rest of the party had beef burgers The beef burgers came out after half and hour wait having to ask if the food was ready Then 5 minutes later my salad was to follow ( did you personally have it in for me I thought?) I was offered free garlic bread - no thanks my reply Dessert Yes please I would like the creek brûlée please - no sorry we don't have that Seems to be a theme here I am personally trying to stay of wheat due to medical reasons hence my choices We did receive free desserts thank you and the poor waiter I felt for him having to say no all the time. My husband says you keep the fraught beer well. We had recommended it to friends who we had brought with us. It became quite a laughable situation really You have got a great location and pub with a captive audience But this has put us off coming back Anita visited Dial Arch on 04 Nov 2016

staff were very friendly and the food was good. the only problem was the table we were sat at was of a funny design with a very high back and high at one end, which didn't work well for 4 people sitting comfortably for a meal. visited Dial Arch on 30 Oct 2016

Booked online and received booking confirmation only to find that when I turned up they didn't have any record of the booking. Fobbed us off with some excuse about not using the online booking anymore - but then why let people book online? So we were turned away because they were full and went across the way to the Guardhouse and had a fantastic roast dinner in a lovely environment. Also, is it just me or does the Dial Arch always smell of the gent's toilets? Would not recommend. visited Dial Arch on 30 Oct 2016

Food was good, however service was not. I waited for my dish a a quarter of an hour while my friends had been served, although they couldn't start theirs in any case since the staff had forgot the cutlery and then disappeared. I had to go and complain at the bar.It turned out that - God knows why - the waiter had decided my dish would be a main course while my friends' dishes had been deemed starters (although one of them was having exactly the same as me). visited Dial Arch on 21 Oct 2016

Overall I was very disappointed, having booked the meal for a large group of people 2-3 weeks before hand for a special accation for an 18th birthday. Having arrived and settling down, one of the women who was serving serving us went through the menu and told us pretty much half the menu wasn't available including main dishes like steak, pulled pork dishes and every chicken dishes additionally, some starters where no longer an option to choose from and every time we picked what to eat it was unavailable and was very disappointing. Also the service from one of the waitresses was unaware of our concerns and wasn't sympathetic with the problem and came across very rude. Having pre booked as well way in advance was the frustrating thing!
