Get ready for a new comedy night in Nunhead where each month we pick a new theme to mix up the fun. Now the name makes a bit more sense. We might have some games for the chance for the audience to win some classic Pick n Mix bags as well, because we love making people happy - whether that is through great comedy, fun games, or just bribery with sweets.
Each month we have some of London's best acclaimed acts to make your Wednesday that extra bit special, right before you see them on your TV screens (whether it is for comedy related reasons or not is another matter)
This month's theme is going to celebrate graduation season and we have picked some of London's best comedians from the circuit who are perfect for the occasion. Some are recent graduates themselves. Some are teachers. Some of them just need to grow up a little bit.
So come join us for some great South London comedy, at a super great price, for a night so fun, it might even make it onto your #tbt post the next day.
Line up:
Dan Jones
He is man with a name that might not stand out from the crowd (especially in Wales), but while he may not have one of those crazy child-celebrity names, he does have a talent that sets him apart from the rest. Recently back from performing at Big Funny Fest, Richmond's First (and therefore best) Comedy Festival. He is an Amused Moose Finalist, a Rising Star Finalist and a Yellow Comedy New Act of the Year Finalist for 2019. "Pithy, snarky & funny." - Steve Bennett, Chortle
Will Hitt
The comedian has been performing for 18 months and has reached the semi-finals of So You Think You're Funny? and Laughing Horse New Act of the Year already. He is also the lead writer on the comedy web series British Rationals and featured regularly on BBC Radio London as a satirical news reviewer.
Freya Mallard
Freya Mallard's erratically anxious and unadvisedly optimistic voice have earned her spots as a Chortle student Semi Finalist and on this year's BBC New Comedy Award Nominee. You'll love her offbeat but upbeat approach to life.
Adam Flood
If you've ever thought: 'Yes I love to laugh, but there just aren't enough limber people in the comedy world these days' - then look no further. "This man has a great command of accents, a quick wit and bendy body." - BN1 Magazine. The Northern Stretch Armstrong himself (without the muscle) is coming to town. A Max Turner and South East Coast Comedian of the Year Finalist, he is ready to bend his way on down to Southeast Londontown, like a slinky on a mission. "Quirky, charming, and breathtakingly funny." - Scott Capurro, Perrier Award Winner.
Richard Todd
Speaking of Northern comics with a deft control of their flailing limbs and a commanding comedy wit, our headliner Richard Todd is the man who takes the Gold medal in this non-existent, niche, but clearly very necessary award. He is a Chortle one to watch for 2018, performing on some of Britain's top comedy clubs, and has taken three critically acclaimed shows up to the Edinburgh Fringe. "His is an eccentrically created world that you can't pull away from even if you wanted to" - The List
"Crazily funny stuff." - Kate Copstick, The Scotsman
