The August List are a boy / girl two-piece who play backwards country / porch folk with a startling rock ‘n’ roll attitude.
Acoustic guitars, kick drums, harmonicas, found instruments and their voices are deployed with verve and passion on songs concerning the frailty of human existence, the awesomeness of nature and other fun things.
They'll be celebrating the launch of their brand new album, performing on the night with full band and no less than 3 support acts that include Mock Deer, Gabriel Moreno & Richard Neuberg
“It’s a rare West Country husband-and-wife duo that can pull off the knack of sounding simultaneously like a vintage Louisiana jug band and at the same time very much like themselves.” – Tom Robinson.

Folklore was set up in Manchester back in 2009 with a focus on Alt-folk, Americana, Indie and Psych-Folk music. Our aim was – and still is – to give a platform to quality live music produced by unknown, up and coming, established and touring artists.
Folklore moved to London in 2011 and has become established amongst the music community, gaining a loyal audience and forging lasting relationships with local, national and international artists. We continue to prioritise quality intimate shows in great venues, and have recently added a select booking roster to our activities, representing a small selection of artists we love.
We’re delighted to be involved in various festivals around the UK, curating and assisting at events such as Festival N6 and Wilderness (in partnership with The Local).
