Did you know Baba means wise old woman in Romanian, father in Arabic and baba ghanoush wasn’t always made with mayo??Baba tells tales of love in the times of communism, trams and of roots. But where will she find home?...home...home...home
Halima is a trained clown and professional baba. You have seen her recently at Man Up, as quarter finalist at Sketch Off Museum of Comedy or in an open mic around you. Halima won the Laugh Bath duck award 3 times.
She graduated Ecole Philippe Gaulier, Embodied Poetics Lecoq school and Soho Theatre Drag Labs. She worked in Applied Theatre and collaborated as clown with ClownsWithoutBorders and social circuses in London, Bucharest and Casablanca.
Madcap darling of the alt comedy clown scene Halima Habil is taking her charismatic, enigmatic brainchild Baba all the way to Edinburgh Fringe this Summer!
Love, language, love-language, and…soul-destroying heartbreak are all on the table when Baba comes on scene.

Hector Laszlo Cosmetatos loves long names. For example, his show ‘Quiz Night @ Vaginus Hemmingway’s Cabaret Rathole’, has a long name — and it has taken a long, long time to reach its final, fringe-ready form! As such, eponymous hero Vaginus Hemmingway has taken on a life of his own, and has availed himself of this time to present a vicious retrospective on the worst human decisionmaking of the last few years…in the form of a quiz!! So get ready for some really bitter reminiscing in the form of adorable throwback questions like ‘who started the influencer purges of 2026?’ and ‘how was Putin executed, and by how many individuals simultaneously?’ and
‘after a long and arduous bidding process, which Vape company eventually bought TfL?’ and much much more!

COVID-19 Safety
We encourage patrons to wear a mask while moving around the building and when seated in the theatre.
Seating is not socially distanced. The theatre is ventilated before and after every performance with regular and thorough cleaning of touch points. Hand sanitiser and face masks are available onsite.
Access
We regret that our theatre is up a flight of stairs with no wheelchair access available.

The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight WFL Media Ltd and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
