Develop your creativity and explore different techniques to enhance your Art practice.
These sessions, led by Marianne Simonin, are designed to help you improve your inner eye, your sense of harmony, as well as skills in drawing, painting and collage. Using pencils or acrylics we will explore different themes, either abstract or more figurative, as well as composition.
You may be a beginner or someone with some experience; by joining Marianne's sessions, you will receive guidance and feedback and discover that art can be meditative, therapeutic and leading to Self-inquiry.
Each session lasts 2 hours, and can be taken individually or as a block.

BOOKING ESSENTIAL
Held at the Holly Bush Pub, in the pleasant surroundings of the Romney room which once used to be the studio of 18th Century painter George Romney, you will be able to meet like-minded people and enjoy a drink or some food either before or after the sessions (not included in the price).
Marianne is a professional artist, mostly a painter, and has taught groups and one-to-one sessions over many years. She has a lot of experience of working with people and helping them connect with their intuition in order to create work that reflects their own personality. Whether you like to make a bold statement with your art, or enjoy fine details in figurative work, you will definitely see yourself improving over the weeks and unlock your creativity in these enjoyable sessions.
Materials: Only basic materials will be available (paint, some brushes, and paper). It is best if you can bring your own if you have materials at home already that you are familiar with. Marianne will be able to advise you on what to bring or purchase as you progress from week to week.
There will be a theme or focus each week. Some of the topics covered will include:
- Composition
- Understanding harmony in colours and how they express our emotions
- Light and shadows
- Working in series to develop a theme
- And more!

Marianne Simonin is a mixed-media artist, with a studio practice of 25 years. She has taught a wide range of students privately in her studio, workshops at different venues and one-to-one. She lives in North West London.

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations.
