Community-hub-pub The Star by Hackney Downs brings to you our snazzy Summer Festival. We venture to our grassy doorstep Hackney Downs Park for some village vibes with a city twist.
Boasting an outdoor Funktion one sound system. We Are The Sunset of are curating a day of top DJs playing blissed-out beats, Balearic bangers, oddball disco and general eclectic niceness.

There will be the second edition of our Hackney dog show ran by Pack and Clowder. If you think your pooch is perfect, registration starts from 12pm at the Pack and Clowder stand. Otherwise, oggle the doogos and cheer for your fave woofer!
For those of you that prefer to care for inanimate things, bimble around our plant sale for a cuddly cactus, or have a rummage for a retro find at our vintage market - this is Hackney, after all. You will find plenty of other stalls to take a look around ranging from arts, craft to the hackney mosaic project and hackney swifts. Stalls include I See You, Ananda, Trinket mine, I Love Dodger Dog, Grace Within, Realm of Treasure, Rebecca Bright, When I am Rich & more.
Street food is also a thing with a range of different flavours on offer Vegans and vegetarians will be catered for as well as sweet things, coffee and ice cream.
Vendors are Born & Raised, Salty Loins, Vital, Lele's, We Serve Humans, Hanoi Cà Phê - Street Food & Drink, MexiJam Burrito, Ruttle & Rowe & Sorbitium Ices.
And if you’re not just young at heart, but are a genuine child, professional play promoters Hackney Playbus are joining us to show the big kids how it’s really done. I hear tell of a sandpit, crafts and fun for all ages. Obv we have facepaint on lock.
If you’re not entirely satiated by such a spectacle, rumours of an after-party at Star by Hackney Downs are almost certainly true….

5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
