The Marquess of Anglesey is a wonderful traditional pub in the heart of Covent Garden.

Perfectly situated within walking distance from popular West End shows, like Lion King and Frozen and directly opposite the Royal Opera House, it is excellently located whether you are sightseeing, theatre-going, shopping, working in the area or planning a night out in town. Spread over three floors, the Marquess offers an exciting fresh, seasonal menu of British classics and specials and a fabulous selection of wines, beers, cocktails and Young's finest real ales.

The comfortable main bar is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing glass of wine or pint of beer and a casual chat with friends and colleagues while the first floor bar is a marvellous venue for cocktails, pre-theatre dinner, Sunday roast, or, the perfect place for your celebration, be it engagement, leaving party, birthday or work event.

The roof terrace bar on the third floor is the jewel in the Marquess crown, with fully retractable roof and windows it offers views of the Covent Garden skyline and is the perfect spot to bask in the sunshine.

The First Floor Lounge Venue Hire 55 85 - 2000 3750

Our first floor lounge is a great space and is very flexible, for private dining or a private drinks party with your own bar. 

 

There is no room hire charge but there are varying minimum spends, a deposit of £500 is required to confirm any private hire booking. 

Our minimum spends are very simple, anything running upto and before 6pm Monday-Friday is £1500 plus optional service charge.

Then after 6pm, please see below:

Monday - £2000 plus optional service charge (unless bank holiday then sunday spends apply)

Tuesday - £2500 plus optional service charge 

Wednesday - £3000 plus optional service charge 

Thursday - £3500 plus optional service charge 

Friday - £3500 plus optional service charge  

 

If you are looking for weekend hire, Saturdays anything running upto and before 6pm is £3750 plus optional service charge and anything running from or after 6pm the minimum spend is £3750 plus optional service charge. 

Finally Sundays anything running upto and before 4pm is £3750 plus optional service charge. Anything running from or after 4pm the minimum spend is £2000 plus optional service charge (unless a bank holiday sunday where saturday spends would apply)  

 

Our first floor dining room comfortably holds upto 55 guests for dining and upto 80 guests for drinks and buffet style events.

Everything pre-ordered and ordered on the day counts towards the minimum spend but anything pre ordered must be paid for in advance.

The deposit will be held by us in the event you cancel less than two weeks before the event or fail to show on the day, otherwise the deposit will be refunded back to you the following working day or redeemed from your final bill once you reach the minimum spend, the choice is yours.

Once your booking is confirmed we will send over a link with food & drinks packages for you to choose from to save waiting time at the bar.

Please note we do require all food and drink pre-orders at the latest 14 days prior to your booking date.

Alternatively after reading this if you are not looking for private hire at all, we do accept bookings larger dining bookings in our lounge which we confirm with a card authorisation, just please note the room may not be private for you.
