Way back before The Court took on it's current name, it was known as The Roebuck, and was a hotbed of talented new music!
Back in 1965, Davie Jones had a fateful audition with Ralph Horton in the pub. Who's Davie Jones? Well, under Horton's mentorship he changed his name to David Bowie!
A couple of decades later in 1984, a little known Scottish band called The Jesus and Mary Chain impressed Alan McGee right here at The Roebuck Pub, and were signed up to his fledgling label, launching both their careers and his. McGee would later go on to sign bands such as Oasis and My Bloody Valentine!
Fast forward another couple of decades, and a young, popular Youtuber called Ed Sheeran played a gig here back in 2008, a couple of years before taking the world by storm.
So in recognition of our amazing musical heritage, we're launching The Roebuck Sessions, a series of free live gigs showcasing the very best in the current London music scene.
So come on down. In a few years you might be telling your friends about the now world famous singer or band you first saw right here, at the Roebuck Sessions @TheCourt

5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
