Because every time a much-loved boozer gets shut down, a fairy dies. Charlie McVeigh has taken it upon himself to salvage this great Bethnal Green boozer by transforming it into a Draft House. Dishing up international and local beers aplenty and pies agogo, this is set to be a hearty boozer with traditional values. However, with innovative cocktails and modern features; no one could call this place stuffy!

Now with six sites to its name, Draft House can add some illustrious energy to the slightly dilapidated yet warmly cared for Birdcage. Rather than bulldozing over either the building or its culture, McVeigh has decided to restore its original features and keep the spirit of The Birdcage alive. We're particularly gleeful that he's decided to keep the infamous weekly karaoke sessions!
