Summer Carnival 2014

Guanabara are getting those Carnival juices flowing with no less than six nights of Brazilian-inspired hedonism. Kicking off on the 19th and culminating in one helluva closing party on the 24th, they'll bring you some of London's best samba school bands and dancers, capoeria performers, percussion artists and carnival beats from a top line-up of DJs. 

CIRCO DO GUANABARA

Wednesday 20th August, 5pm. Free admission until 9pm, £5 after.

Samba bands, burlesque dancers, hula hoop fire dancers and much, much more is on the agenda at Wednesday's blowout. Samba Dance class kicks off from 10pm.

LONDON SCHOOL OF SAMBA

Thursday 21st August, 5pm. Free admission until 9pm, £5 after.

Join London's School of Samba on their parade through Covent Garden, before hitting the Guanabara stage at 10pm. DJ Limao hits the decks with his mixture of mainstream tracks and Samba beats until late.

RITMOS DA CIDADE

Friday 22nd August, 5pm. Free admission until 8pm, £10 advance tickets after 8pm, £12 on the door.

Move through the Carnival gears as Guanabara showcases the UK's premier Samba percussion squad Rhythm of the City before DJs Matt Mandy and Limao get to work on spinning the hottest summer carnival tunes.

BATALA LONDON

Saturday 23rd August, 5pm. £10 advanced tickets, £12 on the door.

The hugely popular Masquerade Ball is an explosion of colour, fancy dress and raucous partying. Get kitted out in your most flamboyant garms and prepare for a titantic night out, BATALA grace the stage with their mix of drums and vibrant music.

WESLEY WANDIR

Sunday 24th August, 5pm. 

Cap a pulsating Carnival weekend off with Guanabara, who bring Wesley Wandir and DJ Bruno Camargo with them to rock the decks and keep you up and dancing late into the piece. No work Monday, so no excuses not to leave everything on the dance floor!
