Tim Smedley: Is an award-winning environment writer BBC Future, The Guardian, The Sunday Times and author of two groundbreaking books, Clearing The Air 2019 and, most recently, The Last Drop: solving the world's water crisis. In The Last Drop, Tim uncovers the alarming consequences of human mismanagement and climate crisis on the water cycle, resulting in longer droughts and more intense floods. With urgent changes required in water usage and management to ensure ecological and human survival, Tim explored a multitude of solutions, including groundwater replenishment, regenerative agriculture, wastewater recycling, sustainable urban drainage systems, and the humble beaver. The remedies require not only technological advancements but also good governance, corporate leadership and sustained political will.

Jamie Craggs: Currently the Aquarium Curator at the Horniman Museum & Gardens, London, UK. In addition, Science Associate at the Natural History Museum, London and in 2016 Jamie was elected as a fellow of the Linnean Society of London, the world’s oldest active biological society. Having previously worked as the Head Aquarist at the London Aquarium his main research interest is the reproductive biology of reef-building corals and in 2012 he founded PROJECT CORAL, a multi-year research project focused on developing techniques to predictably induce broadcast coral spawning events in closed system aquariums. Through developing a deeper understanding of broadcast spawning events in captivity Project Coral aims to support climate change research focusing on reproduction, reef restoration efforts and develop new sustainable coral aquaculture techniques.
