Greenwich Beer & Blues Festival is back!
Out of an interesting year a small and humble Beer & Blues Festival has been born! Not all doom and gloom hey!
Continuing on from our series of shows at The Old Joinery we’re bringing our Spring addition of the Festival to Greenwich and we have quite the line up in store for you!
Shows will follow the format of the Summer Festival with a ticket getting you a time allocated section where you will see a one or two acts. This time the shows are all inside as we have done with our recent series, although remember The Old Joinery is a lovely old warehouse so wrapping up warm is strongly advised, its Christmas after all!
We're super excited to have Chris Difford take to the stage on Sunday evening. Chris Difford is a Grammy nominated and double Ivor Novello Award winning lyricist who has brought us characters and sketches from everyday life, and has successfully turned the mundane into the beautiful, the urbane into the exquisite, for over 40 years.
With his collaborator, Squeeze co-founder Glenn Tilbrook, Chris has written some of the most enduring and best-loved songs of our time such as ‘Up The Junction’, ‘Cool For Cats’ and ‘Labelled With Love’, ‘Tempted’ and many others. Squeeze returned with two new albums in recent years 'Cradle to the Grave' in 2015 and ‘The Knowledge’ in 2017, followed by extensive world-wide touring.
In 2020 Squeeze are sanding still while the global Pandemic takes center stage, sadly their tour with Hall and Oates is on hold until 2021. Meanwhile Chris is finding ways of being at home and keeping creative and busy. Online workshops, Zoom concerts from home raising money for charity and Podcasts with his chums in the industry
Tickets are allocated in groups of 2 – 6 people to fit in with our current seating plan. Limited ticket availability for each show so be quick to grab yours.
