About this event:
Originally born in Paris to raise awareness around food waste, the Disco Soup is a social gathering where people are invited to cook and eat together while listening to great music. MM's Disco Soup is a completely free initiative and is part of Mercato Metropolitano's Community Christmas Programme, created to celebrate this magic period of the year with our communities and bringing people together at a time when it's most needed.
On 24th December, please join us at Mercato- Metropolitano Elephant&Castle's Piazza for a heartwarming vegetarian Italian soup and other delicacies.
What to expect:
- FREE FOOD: Warm vegetable soup and Italian-style sourdough bread. Cacio & pepe pasta, kindly donated by chef Francesco Mazzei, will be available for the early birds, so make sure to get here nice and early to catch the cooking show too!
-FREE MUSIC: Groovy DJ-set by our amazing Community partners at
Beats&Eats. These emerging musicians surely know how to warm up the room!
- FUN FAMILY GAMES: We will have an area for children to play with giant Jenga, giant Connect 4, a Ping-Pong table, and more!
