After our hugely successful launch in April, Block Party Cinema returns for more bean-bag bouncing fun with our special summer screening at Pop Brixton.

We’ll be showing the critically acclaimed, audience favourite – Dope. A fast and funny, comedy flick by the director of The Wood and Brown Sugar. Set in Inglewood, California, Dope follows three high school geeks obsessed with 90’s Hip Hop culture as they navigate their way around the hood, avoiding gangster’s and bullies. This coming of age teen comedy has everything you want in a feel-good summer movie!

Just like Dope we’ll be paying homage to 90’s culture with a fancy dress, throwback, block party before the screening.

That’s right, in classic block party style we’ll be bringing the film to life with a 90's #GeekVsGangster themed dress code. Whether you’re more A$AP than Urkle, come down in your best fancy dress gear and enjoy the summer fun!
