Harriet is always an absolute delight to see live, no more so than when she plays small intimate venues like the Rah Rah Room. Support was provided by Chaz Thorogood and the audience was well warmed up for Harriet and her band to take the stage. She played 15 songs over the 75 minutes and the audience was enthralled for every single spell-binding second. Many of her fans will have been thrilled to hear new two songs and many of the people seeing her for the first time will have been captivated by her voice. The fact that she took the time afterwards to chat to fans, old and new, says so much for her down to earth approach to meeting everyone who appreciates her wonderful music. The Best Bits - there are so many of them; the music, that voice, her banter between songs, the sight of Steve Anderson beaming with pride as he watched her perform The Worst Bit - the smoke machine was both very noisy and unnecessarily on overdrive. I think I am not the only one who feels that Harriet does not need to be lost in the mist Seeing Harriet play live is one of life's great pleasures right now.
