Oktoberfest East will be a party to remember

Welcome to Oktoberfest East! Journey with us to our Alpine wonderland, where Bavaria meets East London; our wonderful host will guide you up to fun, games, entertainment and plenty of big wooden tables for you to eat, drink, laugh and thoroughly enjoy yourself with your friends. Inspired by the tents of the Munich event, relax and enjoy the beautiful decor and wonderful ambience under the big, beautiful Alpine canopy – the closest you’ll get to Germany this side of the Rheine.

To top it off, our live entertainment will come from The Hackney Colliery Band – a nine piece brass ensemble going full pelt to get everyone dancing!

At Oktoberfest East, we’ll be exclusively pouring Oktoberfest bier from the legendary, Hacker-Pschorr brewery.

Each tent at Oktoberfest pours beer from one brewery only, and we’ll be keeping this tradition at Oktoberfest East. We’ve partnered with Hacker-Pschorr, and shipped their original festival glasses over, to serve their Oktoberfest Bier – a delicious malty and crisp lager. They made beer for the first Oktoberfest way back in 1810 and it’s one of Germany’s most loved beers.

The Oktoberfest East will be nothing short of a Bavarian feast!

Inspired by the traditional Bavarian flavours of Oktoberfest, The Art of Dining will be serving an array of delicious meals to keep you satisfied throughout the festival, whether you fancy just a few tasty snacks or a 3-course meal. From warm pretzels to hearty salads and delicious schnitzel with homemade sauces, there will be something for everyone to enjoy alongside their beer.

The music, food, drink prices were good. I think to get a proper Oktoberfest atmosphere table service for beers is an absolute must, it's such a big part of it all. The cover price seemed pretty steep for what was on offer, and it wasn't hugely busy as a result - a fun evening for a group out, some great 90's tunes, but lacking a bit of spark in the end. At one point the staff cleared our table (which was a reserved table) and we had to ask for replacement steins, so there was a bit of a training issue there. Don't mess with people's beers. Full credit they replaced them when asked, but it was £30 worth of beer! Matthew visited Oval Space on 30 Sep 2016

Poor, very poor. I thought i could try different kinds of beer, but no. No German oktober fest spirit except clothes. Just a simple pub with one kind of beer under one big tent. Worst my birthday ever

Hi Dede. Apologies you didn't enjoy it. As advertised, we stick the original Oktoberfest idea of one beer, the Oktoberfest Bier. Beyond the dressing up, there was of course the conversion of the warehouse into an Oktoberfest tent as you mention and the 4 live performances from the Hackney Colliery Band. I hope you at least liked the food, we worked hard with some top chefs (formerly at Moro) on the menu and execution. Next year we'll try even harder.

Couldn't recommend this highly enough - really well executed with good beer and amazing German food. The highlight was the band though - really talented group who played songs that everybody could have a sing and a dance to. Quite busy on a Thursday night so can imagine it's buzzing on Fridays and Saturdays. Just... a really fun night out!
