Christmas is nearly here and what a way to wrap up the year we have for you. After this year's amazing series of phenomenal Soul, Funk and Acid jazz artists, where we enjoyed the company of legends of soul including Leroy Burgess, Mica Paris, Omar, JTQ and the mighty Los Charly’s Orchestra, we are closing this year’s POWLIVEPROJECT with the festive event of the season with an all-star cast of musicians.
As always, catch this Live ,Up Close and Personal gig in our intimate 400 capacity Deco Dance Hall, enjoy the Rooftop BBQ and Linden C’s Rum Shack, and all rooms rocking till late.
Enjoy the powerful soul voice of Imaani (Incognito) supported by her band headlining the main room, the funky afro beat of Nubyian Twist DJ’s spiced up by Live percussion + Sax in support and The DJ Marcia Carr rounding things off in the main room. DJ Femi Fem (Young Disciples) will be heating up the Winter Roof Terrace and the GrooveSchool guys in the Hotel room! Seven days till Christmas, let’s celebrate good times!!

IMAANI has performed worldwide on television, in the studio, and live with such luminaries as: Nile Rodgers, Maceo Parker or Incognito. During the course of her long running relationship with Incognito, she has completed several world tours and continues to appear in the band. Giving vocal performances described as ‘effortless’ over music provided by her extremely polished musicians she is able to take the audience on a journey with her.
NUBIYAN TWIST are a 12 piece outfit based in Leeds/London, fusing groove driven music from around the world with sound system culture and jazz inspired improvisation. A culmination of musicians, DJ’s and producers alike, the band strives to encourage artistic and social unity between different cultures and musical styles.
DJ FEMI FEM kicked off his career in 1990 as a member of the groundbreaking three-piece The Young Disciples. He has performed extensive DJ work in the UK at clubs such as Ministry of Sound in London, He is also known internationally, having played at varied events for Prince, Janet Jackson, Stella McCartney, Jade Jagger, Gucci the fashion house and the Russian Embassy.
