Pioneering Detroit electronic music group Inner City, one of the most influential dance acts of all time, head to Shoom London at Electric Brixton on Friday 8 November.
Formed in 1987, by record producer, composer and international DJ Kevin Saunderson (who with fellow Detroiters Juan Atkins and Derrick May, are renowned as the “The Belleville Three”, the originators of Techno) and vocalist Paris Grey. Inner City are best known for their early crossover hits “Big Fun” and “Good Life”. Further success saw the group topping the US Billboard dance chart five times and securing nine Top 40 hits on the UK singles chart. Now they return 30 years on with Kevin Saunderson, son Dantiez Saunderson and vocalist Steffanie Christi'an.
Support comes from Shoom founder Danny Rampling, along with Shoom regulars Farley & Heller plus ILONA.
After the wonderful 25th and 30th anniversary show in recent years, Danny has hosted sell out Shoom parties around Europe, bringing in an array of some of the finest talent in house and techno, including Derrick May, Leftfield, Tony Humphries, DJ Pierre, Bushwacka!, Farley & Heller and many more.
Twice in 2018 Shoom had two sell out parties in Amsterdam, including a riotous New Years Eve, and last summer as part of the Paradi50 celebrations. Following this was the superb 'Future Love' party in Brighton in May of this year.
