UK’s biggest BBQ Festival comes to Walthamstow

Got any festival plans in place for this summer? You’ll probably need to shelve them, as there’s a rowdy weekend of meat, music and mayhem coming to Walthamstow that deserves your undivided attention.

Grillstock London is truly a gift from the BBQ gods above. Arriving at E17’s Chestnuts Field in time for one final summer blowout, they’re braced to host 40,000 smoked meat fans for two days of slow ‘n’ low styled treats, lashings of pale ale and a hearty helping of live music.

One belting weekend of smoked meats and blues beats is coming to East London.

You’ve seen those Americana-styled hot dog eating competitions, and now it’s your time to shine as you trounce the opposition on your way to winning that coveted King of the Grill crown. There’s all kinds of pit-smoked plates if you’ve somehow still got room after that, and a couple of pints of Grillstock’s very own pale ale should help ease everything down the hatch.

As if this fiesta of eating wasn’t enough to concentrate on, Grillstock will also put the spotlight on 25 bands and DJs across three stages, with a Southern soundtrack of soul, hip-hop, blues and country tunes heavily involved.

Grillstock BBQ and Music Festival will take place on the 5th and 6th of September 2015 at Chestnuts Field, Walthamstow, E17. Early Bird Tickets start at £15, with Standard Weekend tickets costing £40.
