Heinz Ketchup. Ever heard of it?
If you haven’t smothered your chips in it or lost a white t-shirt to it, you’re kind of doing life all wrong. The cult sauce we all know and love is teaming up with Morley’s for a one of a kind pop-up at The Standard and it’s turning plenty of heads. Taking place from 7th August until 3rd September, you can munch on all kinds of levelled-up chicken. We’re talking caviar-topped drumsticks, hot wings smothered in sauce, and for dessert - ice cream sundaes topped with Heinz Ketchup sherbet.
Why is all this happening at a slick London hotel? Well, Morley’s x Heinz Fried Chicken Sauce is launching in the UK and they’ve gone to a lot of trouble to ensure it’s paired perfectly with fried chicken. So much so that Heinz entrusted the job to their ‘sauce scientists’. So it naturally made sense to go the extra mile and get The Standard involved. They’re going to be extending the offering to brunch on weekends too, where you can sit down to chicken and waffles with hot honey glaze and Heinz BBQ sauce.
We’re not having much of a summer at the moment (thanks global warming) but when the sun decides to turn off its out of office you can head to the hotel’s wrap-around terrace to munch and soak up that much needed vitamin D. Speaking of the letter D, drinks aren’t too shabby either with frozen margs, boozy Coke floats and vodka grape soda.
