A Massive Mardi Gras Celebration Is Coming To London With An Immersive Party In The Leake Street Arches

Immersive Mardi Gras Party London

No Bourbon Street? No bother. Waterloo is getting its very own Mardi Gras this March.

Can't make it down to Bourbon Street this February? Lucky for you Mardi Gras is coming to us this year. Taking over a Waterloo arch from the 4th-5th of March, Southern Comfort are creating a series of interactive rooms to bring a taste of Fat Tuesday to London.

Head down to 26 Leake Street and you'll find a microcosm of New Orleans set out over a labyrinth of spaces. Never one to skimp on the party - particularly on this most holy of occasions - there'll be a melting pot of musical madness to get down to as well, with live performances from the Hackney Colliery Band and NOLA-based bounce artist Big Freedia. Queer club runners Pxssy Palace will be on hand to keep the carnival vibes high, cranking out a specialist playlist inspired by the celebration.

As for the refreshments, you'll be able to grab an authentic taste of Louisiana as Cajun street food fiends Bayou take over the kitchen, while over at the bar Southern Comfort have put together a bespoke menu of five, brand new Mardi Gras cocktails.

Southern Comfort Presents Mardi Gras takes place on the 4th and 5th of March from 7pm at 26 Leake Street, London, SE1 7NN. Tickets start from £12. Looking for more interactive partying? We've got the lowdown on the best immersive events in London.
