These days people have no time for a haircut, let alone a whisky sampling. So why not combine the two? That’s just what Andrew Cannon did in 2012 when he created Ruffians in Edinburgh. Already the brand has discovered London and is extremely at home in its Covent Garden location. Step back to a time when gentlemen’s grooming wasn’t just a quick cut at the barbers, leaving itchy strays down one’s neck, but a craft that must be performed properly with great attention to detail.

Sample whisky or enjoy a fresh coffee as you peruse the iPads or chat to the knowledgeable staff. Come in and simply have them trim your ‘tache or tidy your beard, no job is too small for the team at Ruffians. First and foremost, they are a barbers and their focus is on their customers and the experience they come to expect. That said, don’t be surprised if you walk in to find a book launch, fashion show, gig or shave-off going on, they just like to keep things interesting.
